ENFIELD MARKET
Enfield has one of the most vibrant markets in North London – a Food Court featuring cuisine from across the world lies at the centre with an 80-seater, all-weather food court. Surrounding it are aisles of traditional fishmongers, butchers, bakers and greengrocers along with continental and artisan cheeses, charcuterie, a juice bar as well as general market stalls you would hope to find on any good market, selling fashion, household goods, luggage, toys, books and lots more.
Enfield has had a market since 1303 when a Charter was granted by Edward 1st; it has just reopened after a complete overhaul where all the old stalls have been replaced with gazebos.
The market is one of the few in the country operated by a charity; The Old Enfield Charitable Trust and proceeds from pitch fees go to local good causes. The market sits at the heart of community life with regular bands on the Market House (bandstand) and educational activities for local schools. The market runs at 100% occupancy and there is a waiting list for traders.
Opening times: Thursday, Friday and Saturday - all days between 9am and 5:30pm.

This guide (How to rent – checklist for renting in England) is for people who are about to rent.
When signing a rental contract (an assured shorthold tenancy, AST) you are entering into a contractual arrangement. This gives you some important rights but also some responsibilities.
This guide will help you to understand what questions to ask, what your rights are, and what responsibilities you have. This will help you create a positive relationship with your landlord, and will also tell you how to get help if things go wrong.
We will always provide you with a copy of this guide before you sign the AST so you can use this as a checklist; however, you can also access it by clicking here.
There are certain additional criteria when you live in a shared house – click here for an overview of these.
You are welcome to contact us for additional information or if you have any questions.
